Pershore Swimming Club will be sending a record-breaking number of competitors to the 2015 Worcestershire County Swimming Championships held in Wolverhampton Central Baths on the weekends of the 7th and 8th March and 14th and 15th March.

 

A staggering 35 swimmers have achieved at least one County Qualifying Time in the Age Group Championships and two swimmers qualified for the Masters Championships, competing in 276 individual events across the two weekends.

 

Six swimmers will be making their County debuts including Lewis Cribben (9), James Heeks (9), Gabriella Barry (9), Amelia Gearey (10), Caitlin Yates (11) and Owen Kirby (11),

 

Pershore achieved tremendous success at last year’s County Championships, winning 23 age group gold medals, with Megan Annis (11), Patrick Heeks (11), Simon Sweatman (12) and Isabella Woodcock (13) all looking to defend titles in various events from last year.

 

Other Pershore swimmers competing at the County Championships who have achieved one or more CQTs are Angus Jones (17 years), Cameron Leach (11), Christopher Vizard (13), Hamish Cross (11), Jamie Saunders (11), Kieran Cooper (11), Luke Perry (12), Ronan Williams (11), William Gearey (12), Alexandra Barry (11), Alexandra Dobell (17), Alice Hall (16), Amy Cooper (13), Amy Weston (13), Bethany Carter (15), Charlotte Downey (11), Hannah Woodcock (11), Isobel Cumming (12), Jasmine Franks (10), Jasmine Taite (14), Lauren Annis (10), Macey French (11), Naomi Marsden (12), Olivia Howard (11) and Tamara Marsden (10).

 

In the Masters competition, Pershore’s Helen Annis and Marie Porter will be competing in all the 50m sprint disciplines.
