Family celebrate Trophy win.

When mother of four Helen Annis from Pershore Swimming club was awarded with the club's November achievement trophy it was a true family celebration as Helen, husband Neil and their four children all swim. Apart from competing in all the club championships events Helen has also recently represented Pershore's satellite club of Worcester in their 'Master's Team' in a relay competition in Wolverhampton, and did it with her usual enthusiastic aplomb.

Helen has been swimming with the club from when she was a child herself with breaks whilst at University and bringing up her children Megan the eldest aged eight, Loren six who are also swimming with the club, David five and Elizabeth aged just two who are as yet still learning to swim but are hoping to follow their two elder sisters into the fast lane of competitive swimming.

When Helen was nine years of age it was in the club's formative years in the late 80's and early 90's going on to become County Champion many times especially in the 800m freestyle and making the finals in most of the sprint events, at the time having to travel to Gloucester City Club to gain extra training time insufficient time being allotted at Pershore, a problem the club still suffers from. Being one of the club's early members, 2012 will be especially poignant for Helen as Pershore S.C. will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary during the year.   PHOTO
