Sunday of this busy weekend saw 23 PSC swimmers attend the Stourbridge B gala.

My expectations of the group were not high. For many of them it was their first open gala, it was a new pool and we had 12 of these  swimmers competing in the younger age groups against swimmers who have far more pooltime than PSC swimmers.

For me it was a new group of swimmers, normally its the seniors who attend these galas, so it was interesting to see how swimmers responded to the event.

I should have known. PSC like competing and did they show it! 60 plus personal best times, goblets for first place, medals galore and speeding tickets for going even faster than the goblet winners. Its hard for swimmers and parents to understand but speeding tickets in these galas are even better than those nice crystal goblets. Speeding tickets show that you are swimming fast.

As well as two goblets for first place in 50free and 50 back Josh also received a speeding ticket for his 50 fly. Well done Josh.

Callum also received a ST for his 50 backstroke the highlight of some excellent swims.

The girls were not letting the boys steal the glory Ashley continued her form from the previous evening having a set of excellent swims . Lizzie received a ST for  an excellent 50 backstroke.. Amy swam a very fast backstroke and Maisey had an excellent 100 im.

First time swimmers and sisters Daisey and Megan  also had excellent swims Daisey having excellent swims in back and free.Megan also had a good group of swims.

Everyone of the swimmers swam extremely well , parents stayed the pace in a very warm pool . Well done to.............
