The second round of this competition saw the team return to Stechford. Prior to the start i made the mistake of going to an all you can eat Chinese Buffet in Birmingham ( i always believe you should take in a little culture  when you visit large cities) Lesson for swimmers and coaches-  make sure you eat sensibly before going to an evening gala! AND  always leave room for Tylers cakes at the end of the gala.

I have said several times before that this group of swimmers always manage to surprise me.This was possibly the best team performance i have experienced since joining Pershore.

Swimmers were not only swimming an age group above but in some cases two ages groups above. The group are developing from a small  core group to a larger group of strong swimmers.

This can be seen in the quality of the 9 year boys the debut of Bella , the super swim from Maisey in her 25m butterfly. All of the 9 yr olds were brilliant well done!

The ten year old girls are becoming more competitive and starting to show signs of promise , whilst the boys had some super swims Tyler having an excellent 50m breaststroke at his own age level and then swimming in the 12u breaststroke and finishing a very respectable 2nd.

The 11yr groups swam extremely well , like the 10yr old girls, the 11yr old girls are looking a little stronger with Tazmin setting a terrific example in both her own age group abd the 12u.. The boys continue to show that as a group they are very strong and good individual swims from Gooner and Drew in two age groups were very pleasing..

The 12 yr group showed their strength , All of the girls pbd in their swims and it is not very often that we will see them being defeated, paricularly in the IM relay. The boys were superb two excellent swims from Jake and Mike lead the way with a very fast 50 free and credible 25 breast.( i told you you can swim breast).

There were many excellent performances, but for me four swims stood out; Maiseys 25 fly, Jakes overall swims, Tylers 50 breast and the 12 yr boys Jake,Mike,Jack,Joe teams victory in the freestyle relay, beating a very strong Haden Hill boys team..

It was expected that Haden Hill would win, however their coach did say to me that they were worried at how well we were performing.

11 firsts, 40 pbs an excellent result in finising in 2nd place.

Finally thanks to all helpers on poolside and thanks to parents whose support was very loud and inpiring.
