Pershore Swimming Club continues to excel.

With 30 personal bests coming from Pershore Swimming Club's eighteen swimmers travelling to the County Development Sprints Gala at the weekend it was another successful day.

Jack Betteridge swimming in the 10yr old age group came away with two bronze medals in the 50m fly in 44.95 and also the 50m free in 37.37.  In the same age group Drew Jones swam to a pb and won the silver medal in the 50m fly in 43.87.  Drew's twelve year old brother Angus by accumulating enough points from the four 50m free, back, fly, breast events made the grand final of the 'skins' event where the stroke they swim is decided by drawing out of a hat with the slowest going out and for the remainder to start all over again.  This was the first time he had competed in such an event and gained invaluable experience and managed to last the first two rounds before being eliminated.

There were many pb's in the 100m Individual Medley from both the girls and the boys with Jasmine Taite (1.50.27) and Beth Snape (2.05.57) for the 9 yr olds.  Indira Naraine (1.51.97); Alison Seward for the 11 yr olds (1.30.25) and Ella Spencer (1.35.49).  For the boys Jack Betteridge (1.37.45) and Callum Sanderson (1.43.03) in the 9 yr division  followed by Angus Jones (1.29.67) in the 12 yr age group.

Sanderson also swam to a pb in the 50m free in 39.81with Ben Clarke swimming the first of his three pb's in the same event in 42.07, followed by 59.04 in the 50m fly and 53.31 in the 50m back.  Jake Spencer swam the first of his pb's in the free in 38.58 and then 48.58 in the first ever butterfly event in competition.

More pb's came from James Bower in the free 45.06; Lizzie Vizard 44.51 in the fly; Louise Hird 49.90,  48.65 and 58.90 in the back, free and breaststroke respectively; Jasmine Taite 43.10; Hannah Kenwright 43.94 in the freestyle;
