It was a truly successful weekend and with Pugh now entering the 11 year old ranks her eyes are fixed on edging ever nearer to the National Age Group Championships Qualifying times being 5 seconds away in the 100m events; 9 seconds short in the 200m free and 6 seconds in the 200m back. Her County Championships start in February where she will competing in the 800m and 1500m freestyle events for the first time, completing the championships with her club mates over another two weekends in March in fourteen other events.

Pershore Swimming Club sent a nine-strong squad to compete in the City of Birmingham Open Meet over the Easter weekend which attracts many of the best age-group swimmers from the Midlands and also the rest of the UK. Competing against swimmers from much bigger, established city clubs including Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and Derby, PSC once again produced some excellent results winning 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 11 bronzes across Level 2 and Level 3 categories.
Another fine performance from Pershore Swimming Club saw them grab a clear victory in the latest round of the PGL League at Redditch on Saturday evening.
