Seward presented with Trophy.

Pershore Swimming Club's coach, Tom Naughton, recently presented the junior club's achievement award to 9 year old Alison Seward from Warndon near Worcester.

In his speech he stated that Alison has been one of the hardest working members of his successful young squad with her times steadily coming down helped by 100% attendance over the past months. One her most successful events have come in the 200m backstroke where she has quickened beyond all recognition with a 27 second improvement to 3min 15.27.

She is a talent very much in demand as this coming weekend she will be competing for her duel recognition club at Worcester in their penultimat Mercian League match and a week later in Worcester club's 'A' team in their third of four Nuneaton 'Diddy League' matches at Sutton Coldfield.

In addition on the 21st June Alison will be joined by club mates from Pershore Swimming Club in the County Team Relay Sprint Championships competed for at Wolverhampton. Head Coach Tom will be entering eight teams and hopes the emerging talent will make it the best ever results in the club's history.

Alison combines her swimming with another talent for running coming first in a recent one mile fun run at Peopleton with a time of 7min 12 secs.

Any budding Olympian swimmer wishing to receive top quality coaching should give Pershore Club a go benefiting from a free trial. All that is necessary is to come along to Pershore Leisure Centre on a Tuesday or Thursday evening at 7pm for the younger swimmers or at 8pm for the 12 years olds and above or ring their secretary on 07968429112.      PHOTO
