Youngsters from Pershore Swimming Club, some just eight years old, made their competitive debuts at the Boldmere Junior Invitation Meet in Birmingham, with several coming away with medals and most producing personal bests.

Lauren Annis (9) won three golds in the 100m IM in 1.44.70, the 25m back stroke (20.45) and the 25m free (17.70) and a bronze in the 25m breast stroke (23.09).  Older sister, Megan Annis (10) was also amongst the medals taking golds in the 50m back in 37.03 and the 50m free in 33.09, silvers in the 50m breast stroke in 44.29 and the 50m fly in 38.53 and bronze in the 100m IM in 1.24.19.

Naomi Marsden (11) produced an impressive pb performance to win the 50m back in 34.46, one of the quickest times in the UK for an 11 year old this year at this distance, and then went on to add a bronze in the 50m free in 32.58.
