Busy Lizzie takes Achievement Award.

When 3 month old Elizabeth Vizard from Norton in Worcester was taken by her nursery to a 'Splash' session little did they know they were sowing the seeds for a sport to dominate her life. Now aged eleven 'Lizzie' as she prefers to be called has been awarded the Head Coach Tom Naughton's highest accolade of his monthly achievement award.

Lizzie's previous sporting prowess was in gymnastics but following a disatrous fall from the asymmetrical bars where she almost lost her arm in October of 2006 (it was Friday 13th) she used swimming to help her recuperate, joining Pershore Swimming Club in the Christmas of 2007.

Still having difficulty being able to do butterfly to county standard because of her damaged arm's lack of mobility she prefers breaststroke and backstroke and with climbing up the rankings is now augmenting her training at Worcester hoping to being invited like her club mates to represent Worcester Swimming Club in their own league matches as well as Pershore's endeavours in their own 'Diddy League' debut in April.
