Tazmin makes England Development Squad

Pershore swimmer Tazmin Pugh has just learnt of her latest accolade after receiving an invite to join the England Talent Development Swimming Programme. This next step on the ladder of her ambitions came about because she fulfilled the criteria from some excellent swims at the National Age Group Championships in July coming 8th in the UK in the 100m butterfly and equal 10th in the 100m freestyle from the 28 twelve year old swimmers who had made the tough qualifying standard from the 3,500 swimmers around the country who are competing.

Competing in the 12 year age group which is the youngest age swimmers can access the English Talent Camp. Tazmin is delighted at being given this opportunity of training with the finest coaches and other talented swimmers in the country.

She is also looking forward to joining up with another National swimmer from Redditch and training out of the City of Birmingham Swimming Club being Isobel Griffiths when both enrolling for year 8 when continuing their education in September at Pershore High School.
