Wolverhampton Gala Results

As expected it was the 9/U girls who recorded the best results getting a 2nd place in the 4th event the medley with 1.26.72 only 6/10ths less than winners Redditch with 1.25.10.

In girls 9/U Free Style it was a 3rd place finish for Pershore with 1.16.97 only losing out on 2nd place Droitwich by 8/10ths (1.16.18).

The women's each age F/S also gained 2nd place with 2.10.75 over 2 secs ahead of 3rd place Droitwich, with Redditch again coming 1st with 2.04.69.

The boy's 13 yr medley recorded a 3rd place finish with 2.40.66, Worcs coming 1st with 2.29.72. and Wyre Forest 2nd on 2.31.76.

There was a 4th place for Pershore in the mixed open medley recording 1.05.41 only 1 sec over 3rd place Droitwich themselves recording 1.04.25. Redditch came in under 1 min with 59.72 to take 1st place.

Pershore recorded 4th place in the very first event the Boys 13 yr F/S 4 x 50m with 2.15.70 missing out on 3rd by just 1.4 sec to Redditch.

All other place finishes were 5th & 6th but often only by a few seconds. The mixed 13 yr relay being one where we lost out to Droitwich by just 0.5 secs and again the mixed 11 medley losing to Evesham by 1.3 Pershore's times being 1.37.78. Final results were:

1stààààà.Redditchààà..200

2ndàààààWyre Forestàà193

3rdààààà.Worcesteràà.. 165

4thààààà.Droitwich àà...152

5th àààààEvesham ààà. 98

6th àààààPershore ààà...67

I would say there is easily 14 extra pts there for the taking with dives in at the shallow end and entering a masters team (even if they came in last each time). A more optimistic view would see an extra 30 pts coming our wayààààà.and that means other teams reducing their tally.

We're the ones who can see the great big gigantic search lights at the end of the tunnel ààààà other teams are possibly flat out and treading water àààààA message for the other clubs àààà

WATCH OUT WE'RE COMING FOR YOU !!
